What do you think of these new commercials for the 3DS? They both show off the 1st party lineups for the system as well as the new low price. One focuses more on press comments about the games while the other is pure footage.

Honestly, they are kind of underwhelming than this, and I would hope they have a lot more commercials planned for the holiday.

As a part of video games week on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, Reggie Fils-Aime appeared on the show to promote various Nintendo products including The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and the new Nintendo console, the Wii U. It turns out that something was a commercial for The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. Using CG footage instead of in game footage should be illegal. Okay… maybe that’s a little dramatic. However, I always find it annoying when publishers choose to use footage you won’t see in the game when advertising a game. It’s especially egregious in a game like The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, where the graphics of the game are such a huge part of it. On top of that, the CG isn’t amazing either. In my opinion, this is a disappointing trailer for such an important game.
