It seems that Capcom didn’t fill Sony in on the fact, or at least the specifics, that the next numbered Monster Hunter game would be appearing on 3DS. When Sony was asked how Nintendo snatched the deal from Sony, the President of Sony Computer Entertainment Japan, Hiroshi Kawano admitted, “I don’t know. You will have to ask Capcom.”

However, Sony is reassuring fans of the likelihood a Monster Hunter game will appear on Vita. In a separate interview Shuhei Yoshida stated that fans shouldn’t rule out the possibility that the franchise will appear on Vita in the form of a new game.

For now take this with a grain of salt.

The Semiconductor Industry News, a Japanese newspaper, is claiming that Samsung will be manufacturing the CPU in the PlayStation Vita and it will be manufactured using the 45-nm process. In addition to this news, a source at Sony Japan is saying that the rumored reduce in RAM from 512 MB to 256 MB is simply not true. That would be very good news!

Andriasang is reporting that a Japanese retailer has revealed a schedule of upcoming retail meetings for some of the major game companies. The schedule is below.

  • 5/11: Sony Computer Entertainment
  • 5/12: Nintendo
  • 5/13: Microsoft
  • 5/13: Sega

All companies are expected to make some big announcements, and some information may leak from these. Maybe we will get some pre-E3 information on the NGP, eShop, or Project Cafe.
