Nintendo Power reveals Mutant Mudds for the Nintendo eShop (first scans)

It seems like it’s been all bad news for the Nintendo eShop lately. First Nintendo’s May update got a delay to June, and then Capcom announced that Mega Man Legends 3: Prototype Version, previously announced as a launch game for the service, was also receiving a delay. Today I’m happy to report some good news for the eShop from the latest issue of Nintendo Power.

Renegade Kid, comprised of the people that brought you Dementium (I and II) and Moon for the DS, have announced a sort-of-new game for the Nintendo eShop called Mutant Mudds. Nintendo Power thinks Cubic Ninja is a bit of a dud

Nintendo Power gave Cubic Ninja a 4.0 in this month’s issue. Now you, the reader, might be saying, “But that game looked good! I don’t understand how that game could have gotten a 4.0.” Luckily, I have this issue of Nintendo Power so I will tell you why the reviewer felt the game deserved such a score.

Mega Man Legends 3: Prototype Version delayed

It turns out that Mega Man Legends 3: Prototype Version won’t be making the eShop launch. Japanese magazine Famitsu reported on this delay and said Capcom is working on improving the quality of the game.

This is a frustrating situation for me. It was bad enough the eShop was delayed until June 6th. Delaying what may be the only worthwhile original game fro the service doesn’t bode well for its launch. Nintendo hasn’t announced any other games for the eShop launch, so it may be a relatively uneventful launch.

Expect to hear about a new release date Mega Man Legends 3: Prototype Version at E3.
