Rumors are starting to circulate that the final name for Sony’s next handheld is PS Vita. This rumor comes from Games Pundit who says they heard this from a source. I’ve never heard o the site before, and it looks to be a pretty small site, but the author assures us that he isn’t doing this for hits and that he did he hear this for a source and its not made up.
Personally, I think that’s a pretty stupid name. I suppose the acronym will be “PSV” which sounds alright, but I’m definitely not a fan of the “Vita”. “Vita” is Italian for “life”, so I suppose Sony is trying to pump some life into their handheld division with the name. I would want something a bit more clever than that for the name.
