Top 15 Best Handheld Video Games for PS Vita

Internet rumors say that the Vita has no games, and there is nothing attractive to buy it. I would like to do a tune-up on it, it is true that the game library does not contain as many headlines as we had hoped. From there to say there are no games, is very far from the truth – there are today more than 200 games available on this handheld.

With so many choices, we thought it might be useful to make a few recommendations for PS Vita owners and potential buyers. However, recommend the best PS Vita games to play is much harder than you think.

You can not sort by the tests available on the net, because these tests …

Tetsuya Mizuguchi hints at Lumines for PlayStation Vita?

On the latest 8-4 play podcast, Tetsuya Mizuguchi, the mind behind games like Rez, Space Channel 5, and Lumines, hinted that there would be another Lumines for Sony’s next handheld, the PlayStation Vita.

When asked about what Mizuguchi was working on next, someone on the podcast brought up Lumines. Mizuguchi kept quite, but sounded as if he wanted to say something but couldn’t. James Mielke, a producer at Q Entertainment, was also in the cast of podcasters, and he said the idea “sounds pretty good”.

Look, I think everyone is expecting a Lumines for the Vita. The PSP games are some of the most loved games for that system. It’s just nice that we are at …

Tekken 3DS interview and footage (60 FPS in 3D)

Tekken 3DS was one of the new 3DS games announced at E3. Gamespot got an interview with Harada-San of Tekken fame, and they discussed the new Tekken coming to Nintendo’s handheld.

During the interview, Harada-San said that the Tekken 3DS demo being shown at E3 was just a tech demo, but it should be used as a general idea of what the game will look like. As far as the character roster goes, Haradan-San has stated that all the usual characters will make it to the 3DS version, but he “also has a few surprises planned”, and that doesn’t just go for the character roster.

We got some even more exciting news through a written preview GameSpot did. It turns …

Nintendo Power reveals Mutant Mudds for the Nintendo eShop (first scans)

It seems like it’s been all bad news for the Nintendo eShop lately. First Nintendo’s May update got a delay to June, and then Capcom announced that Mega Man Legends 3: Prototype Version, previously announced as a launch game for the service, was also receiving a delay. Today I’m happy to report some good news for the eShop from the latest issue of Nintendo Power.

Renegade Kid, comprised of the people that brought you Dementium (I and II) and Moon for the DS, have announced a sort-of-new game for the Nintendo eShop called Mutant Mudds. Don’t get me wrong – the game is comprised completely of original content – but this isn’t the first time we’ve seen the game. …

n-Space removes Heroes of Ruin post from their Facebook page

I went back to n-Space’s Facebook page after seeing the art they posted on their upcoming game Heroes of Ruin, hoping to find more information, but I was a bit surprised at what I found. I think n-Space got a little too excited over their next game and revealed it earlier than Square Enix would have liked because the post has been removed. Now when you got to n-Space’s Facebook page you are greeted to a status update they did right before the reveal.

I hope Square Enix isn’t too peeved!…

Nintendo Power thinks Cubic Ninja is a bit of a dud

Nintendo Power gave Cubic Ninja a 4.0 in this month’s issue. Now you, the reader, might be saying, “But that game looked good! I don’t understand how that game could have gotten a 4.0.” Luckily, I have this issue of Nintendo Power so I will tell you why the reviewer felt the game deserved such a score.

The review is short but there are enough damning statements to convince me to stay away from the game. Here’s what the reviewer had to say.

  • The motion controls are horrible, leading to extreme movements to control the character.
  • The 3D effect is automatically disabled when playing with motion controls.
  • The circle pad can be used to control the player, enabling 3D, but
